In Vancouver, heroin addicts commit crimes to continue their habits. The “free heroin for addicts” program does everything they can to settle their addiction. However, addicts have no limits to how they will retrieve this drug to satisfy their addiction. The program fails to attend to these addicts using heroin and only prioritizes the city’s rising crime rates. The program hopes to reduce the crime rate and keep heroin users out of the hospital by administering the drug. The program will in turn fix the city but not the addiction that these people face.
