The eradication of polio internationally is a dream that can become a reality if it was not for the lack of understanding of potential vaccination outcomes. With the assistance of many humanitarian organizations, the majority of the world has been successful in decreasing the rate of polio cases within the past thirty-two years; however, their progress can potentially be in ineffective because of doubts created by human worries such as vaccine contamination and other pressing issues in the community. The conversation revolving around the vaccine for polio has brought upon a widespread of fear and suspicion of its proposed effects. In addition, civilians suffering from poverty have indicated their uncomforting feelings and began to question the idea of the need to get vaccinated based on personal beliefs. As a result, Nigeria has become an epi-center of ongoing polio outbreaks; thus, becoming an obstacle for the world’s mission to eradicating polio.
